PVC board performance

Mechanical properties PVC has higher hardness and mechanical properties.  It increased with the increase of molecular weight, but decreased with the increase of temperature.  Hard PVC has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPa.  The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15 MPa.  But the elongation at break is as high as 200%-450%.  The friction of PVC is general, the static friction coefficient is 0.4-0.5, the dynamic friction coefficient is 0.23.  

 

 

Thermal properties of PVC heat resistance stability is very poor, 140ºC that is, began to decompose, melting temperature of 160ºC.  PVC linear expansion coefficient is small, with flammability, oxidation index up to more than 45.  

 

 

Electrical properties PVC is a polymer with good electrical properties, but due to its greater polarity, the electrical insulation is not as good as PP and PE.  The dielectric constant, dielectric loss Angle tangent value and volume resistivity is large, corona resistance is not good, generally suitable for low and medium voltage and low frequency insulation materials.  

 

 

Environmental performance PVC can be resistant to most inorganic acids, alkali, salt, most organic solvents.  Suitable for medicine, chemical anticorrosive materials.
